ACTIVITIES WITHIN FORGE


 SWIMMING POOL

Indoor heated swimming pool

10m x 4m and heated  to approx 28c.

SAUNA

Enjoy a hot sauna after a swim.

HOT TUB

Enjoy a relaxing moment in our hot tub with a glass of wine.  Perfect for star gazing in luxury.

TABLE TENNIS

Fancy something more energetic?  We have a table tennis table with balls and rackets in the games room.

BOATING

We have a small rowing boat available on the lakes.

POOL

Full size pool table (7 x 4) €2 coin slot.  Pool cues and chalk.

FISHING

We have three lakes with Common Crap, Grass Carp, Roach and Tench. Fishing is subject to our terms and conditions available on request.

WALKS

With an inner fenced area of 10 hectares there are plenty of paths around to explore.

TERRACE

Enjoy spectacular views of the lakes or wonder at the Greek Temple and the Temple of Love.

BBQ

Perfect for al fresco dining.  We have a number of BBQs or a gas Plancha available.  You will need to supply your own charcoal.

GUIDED WALKS

If you would like a more adventurous walk through the woods we would be happy to guide you.

WILDLIFE

We have a variety of wildlife at Forge including our flock of Muscovy ducks

LOCAL PLACES TO VISIT


PARC NATUREL REGIONAL DE LA BRENNE

You’ll find an incredible array of wildlife roaming freely at the park. Enjoying taking photos, but do be sure to keep a safe distance. Also, respect the wildlife you encounter, as this is their home.

MONTMORILLON

Montmorillon, known as the "City of Writing and Book Professions", It is a popular destination thanks to its pretty river banks, Gothic bridge, old houses and  monuments.

SAINT SAVIN

Nicknamed the "Romanesque Sistine Chapel", the abbey church of Saint-Savin-sur-Gartempe is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is unusual in that it is home to the biggest and most beautiful set of Romanesque frescoes in France.
